Meet Viviane,
Founder of Art V Pilates
Certified Classical Pilates Instructor
Originally from Brazil, I began my training in Authentic Pilates in 2020 under the guidance of Erica Almodovar, through the Authentic Pilates Learning Center, following the classical Pilates tradition as transmitted by Romana Kryzanowska, a direct disciple of Joseph Pilates.
I am trained in physiotherapy, a background that informs a precise, attentive, and respectful approach to movement within the teaching of classical Pilates. My education in the method is ongoing and includes participation in advanced and continuing programs, reflecting my commitment to lifelong learning.
I am the founder of Art V Pilates, where I work with private sessions and small groups, preserving the integrity of the original method and its conscious transmission. My work is guided by attention to detail, ethical practice, and respect for each student’s individuality.
I believe Pilates is a method of movement education that develops strength, control, mobility, and body awareness. Each session is an opportunity to deepen this practice with presence, consistency, and intention.
I have scoliosis and have had back pain for a long time as a result. I’ve been practicing Pilates for several years because it’s the best way I’ve found to strengthen my back and become pain-free.
Viviane is an amazing coach who both challenges and encourages me. She notices every detail and has the knowledge required to adapt the Pilates practice to my specific needs, while also knowing exactly how to tailor the training to my condition with scoliosis.
It’s always fun to come to Viviane’s classes — you never know exactly what the session will look like, but you do know that you’re investing time in your well-being and becoming stronger, all while having a great time training with her!
